New Payment Service Starting August 1, 2016

Acton Municipal Utility District (AMUD) has partnered with Paymentus to provide our customers with a more secure and interactive payment experience starting August 1st 2016.

AMUD will continue to accept cash, check or credit card swipe payments in the office.

Payments by phone will be accepted through our new Automated Phone Service.  Payments accepted online at our website, www.amud.com.  Both payment options allow you to pay using your credit card or e-check.

The new security features use 128-bit encryption, one of the industry’s most secure transaction environments.  AMUD will no longer retain credit card numbers or credit card account information.  AMUD customers will need to update and maintain their own payment preferences online.

NEW Automated Phone Service:

AMUD will start using an Automated Phone Service to answer all incoming calls.

When you call the office at 817-326-4720, you will be presented with 3 options:

  •          Dial 1   if this is an emergency.
  •          Dial 2   if you wish to make a payment.  Then follow the prompts.
  •          Dial 3   to speak with a customer service representative.

Our automated telephone service accepts Visa, Master Card and Discover Card payments and electronic check payments.  You can pay 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We will do everything we can to make this transition as seamless as possible.  If you have any questions regarding this service, please call Customer Service at 817-326-4720.

Payments Online:

AMUD will continue to offer our customers the option to pay their bill online at www.amud.com.  Click on the green Bill Payment button in the upper left hand corner, this will direct you to the Paymentus Customer Portal site shown below where you can manage your account.

You can now control your payment options through a secure encrypted connection.  Credit card information, check routing information, scheduling one time payments and/or setting up recurring draft payments and creating your own account alerts can all be done at your convenience online.  You can receive warning notices to help prevent late fees or service disconnection.  Remember to update your payment options, i.e. expiration dates, account number changes, etc.

Information you will need to make an online payment:

  •          Your AMUD Account Number (include all dashes).
