Stage 1 Water Restrictions

The District implemented Stage I of the Drought Contingency Plan July 6, 2011.  In Stage 1, AMUD requests customers to voluntarily conserve water by restricting outside watering to no more than once every other day.  To accomplish this, customers with addresses ending in an even number can water on days with even numbered dates, and customers with addresses ending in odd numbers can water on days with odd numbered dates.

              Address:                                              Water on:

ending with even number           even numbered days

ending with odd number              odd numbered days

AMUD is continuing to maintaine Stage 1 Drought Contingency Plan.  AMUD has been under Stage 1  since July 6, 2011.  Any change to the staus of the Drought Contingency Plan will be posted to the AMUD website.

Remember, any amount of water you save will be helpful!  Thank you for your cooperation.  If you have any questions or need more information please call the AMUD office.

USE WATER WISELY – EVERY DROP COUNTS!

Learn how to conserve water...

It may be the only way to avoid severe shortages in the future.  When you conserve water you also save money, save energy and help protect the environment.  A single dripping faucet can waste hundreds, even thousands of gallons per year.  Most leaks are easy to detect and repair.

Sign Up for Average Monthly Billing

Have you considered Average Monthly Billing?

Average Monthly Billing (AMP) is an optional utility payment arrangement offered by Acton Municipal Utility District (AMUD).  AMP is designed to smooth out the “peaks and valleys” many customers’ experience in their utility bills caused by weather changes.  AMP is not designed to save or cost you money; it simply averages your bill.  At any given point in time, you may be temporarily ahead or temporarily behind on what you would have paid if you had not participated in AMP.

It is time to sign up now through December 31, 2013.  Smooth out those summer peak bills by averaging your bill.
